These sites were made as part of a fourth Login@Europe competition in organization of Ministry of European integration and CARNet. Theme of this years competition is “Let’s meet EU”. The main goal of our site (except of wining) is to inform visitor about European union, her history and structure, her positive and negative sides, actual themes in EU, and news about process of Croatia’s entering to EU. We hope that with contents from this site we will help you to better understand EU, and remove any negative opinions about EU out of your head.

Slovenian premier Janez Jansa said that European perspective of Croatia something that will abate foregoing tension between Slovenia and Croatia. Also, he thinks that between him and Ivo Sanader established confidence. He didn’t say that will never come to that tensions again, but he accents that is necessary open dialog, and key is European perspective of Croatia. Ministers for foreign affairs of Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, with involvement of German minister for foreign affairs Joschke Fischer and ministers of Serbia and Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, today met in Albanian Drac and arranged cooperation so reforms that would allow entrance of adduced countries into EU and access to NATO. They said that they “share same points of view of necessity getting general reforms deeper with goal of accomplishment necessary standards for membership in EU and NATO.”, writes in announcement from Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Croatia.   Written by: Jelena Kopčić.



Most of Croats think that general Ante Gotovina shouldn’t be consigned to ICTY, writes today’s International Herald Tribune (IHT). Research of public opinion, which was carried out in March, gave these results. Agency Puls carried it out for American embassy. 39% of examinees think “completely doesn’t agree” that is extradition of Gotovina in interest of Croatia, and 15% of them “mostly doesn’t agree” with that. IHT allude some less science researches that were carried out by some TV stations, and they showed that 90-95% of examinees would like to see Gotovina free, even if it would mean that Croatia won’t enter EU.    Written by: Jelena Kopčić.
