WINSTON LEONARD SPENCER CHURCHILL was British politician born 1874. He fought against nazism and was warning on danger that was threating to Europe. He was one of the greatest protagonists of victory over fascistic force and he was part of every important allied conference (Kairo ,Teheran, Jalta ,Potsdam ,etc.). He interceded for peaceful and stronger Europe. He died 1965. in London.
 

ROBERT SCHUMAN - was born 1886. in Luksemburg and he grew up in Lorraini, French province which was part of Germany in that time. He was studing the law in Berlin, Bonn, München and Strasbourg. He started to take up with politics at 1919. like mandatory in French national congress.

During World War II he was part of French movement of resistance. After war, he became minister of finances and president of government at two times. He interceded for peaceful solution of misunderstanding betwen France and Germany.

As a minister of foreign affairs of France, on Monnet's suggestion, he expose plan about union of production of coal and steel which would be supervised by some new european organization. That, so called, Schuman's plan, was realized 1951. with forming European community for coal and steel in which approached six country. This community is beginnig of creation European unit. Robert Schuman died 1963.

JEAN MONNET - was born 1888. in France. He was economist and in his youth he was helping his father in family business of brandy production. During World War I and II he helped French and British government in organization of supply and running with reserves.

After war, he's participating in making plan for modernize French industry and agriculture. To avoid further conflict betwen France and Germany about mineral richness in province Ruhr, he came to idea about the union of their production in setting some european body. He exposes that suggestion to the French minister of foreign affairs, Robert Schuman and after Schuman's engagement, the foundation of European community for coal and steel was established. Monnet was assigned as its first president.

Until he died, 1979., he was tireless writing and talking about union of Europe.
 

WALTER HALLSTEIN was born 1901. He was German legist and politician. He worked like collegiate professor, like public secretary in Ministry of foreign affairs and like public secretary in Precidency of government.

He is well known for his, so called, Hallstein's doctrine, formulated 1955., on basic which West Germany automatically breaks diplomatic relatonship with all countries which accept East Germany.

ALCIDE DE GASPERI was Italian politician born 1881. Interceding for cooperation with socialists, he had big problems. He was one of politician who gave an idea for uniting west Europe.

De Gasperi was dominant political personality in after-war time of Italy and he is much meritorious for recover of country after war.
