The 2^nd class students listened to their teacher read the story The Gingerbread Man, after which we talked about it and then watched the video of the same. They learned some new English words and got to know one of the most famous children’s book characters – Gingerbread Man himself. They enjoyed listening to the story, watching the video, and making their gingerbread men. Although the one from the book was made of gingerbread, the 2nd graders used modelling clay. After the drying process, they coloured their men with tempera, glued googly eyes, coloured the noses and mouths, made a little ribbon out of the glittery wire they glued, and pompon, which came in handy instead of buttons. They also glued two magnets on the back, so the gingerbread men became a decoration for their homes.
