On October 5th, The World Teachers’ Day, in the Marble Hall of the Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Littoral Rijeka, a commemorative ceremony was held at which prefect Zlatko Komadina, Deputy Prefect Marina Medarić and head of the administrative department for education Edita Stilin presented awards to the most successful educational staff and institutions.

This year, the Primorje-Gorski kotar County Award was awarded to teacher Davorka Nekić, an English teacher at the Nikola Tesla Branch School in Moravice as one of the most successful educational staff in the County.

In addition to the County Award, teacher Nekić was awarded the StateAaward of the Ministry of Science and Education as one of the 513 most successful educators in the Republic of Croatia.

These awards are the crowning achievement of dedicated work over the past sixteen years and are a confirmation of the quality not only of teacher Nekić but also of the entire collective of the School, as well as of our students who are the main driving force in all this. And for that, I thank them very much, says teacher Nekić.
