A whole week of STEM activities for students from Semeljci, Trnava and Selci

The second part of the winter holidays, from February 20 to 24, for primary school pupils from Semeljci, Trnava and Selci, was dedicated to STEM. It is part of the "STEM - my education" project, fully financed by the funds of the Norwegian Financial Mechanism, through which a large part of the equipment used in the project activities was procured.

So called "STEM week" was held from February 20 to 23, and each day was dedicated to a specific school subject or group of subjects.

 

 

    The first day of "STEM-week" in Semeljci was opened by nature and society, biology and physics, and primary school students from Semeljci, Trnava and Đakovački Selci participated together, with the mentoring of teachers from all three schools.

 

  On the second day of "STEM-week", pupils and their mentors in Semeljci devoted themselves to mathematics at all levels, from 2nd to 8th grade.

 

 

  On the third day of the "STEM week", the activities briefly "moved" to the primary school in Đakovački Selci, where the workshops were dedicated to something that is not often seen in primary schools - astronomy and meteorology.

   

 

On the last day of the "STEM week", pupils were introduced to robotics, a popular extracurricular activity attended by dozens of students from three schools that are involved in the "STEM - my education" project. And as you can see from the accompanying gallery, students from class and subject classes were equally interested in robots and their programming.
