School activities

 

In the 2014/2015 school year we continued with participation in Entrepreneurial Learning, SEECELs project. This school year the school has a dual role:

  • 1 pilot school for the Entrepreneurial Learning at ISCED1

  • 2 mentor school for the Entrepreneurial Learning at ISCED2.

Since the beginning of a school year in September up to now we have planned and carried out many activities that encouraged the entrepreneurial spirit and entrepreneurial mindset in all classes. During the preparation and execution of these activities we have achieved many outcomes of entrepreneurial learning on both ISCED1 and ISCED2 levels.

Presentation of the project

Time of implementation: 7th of May 2012.

Activity contributors: students of 8th c grade, Ina Babić.

On May the 7th students of 8th c grade (Iva Knežević, Marina Martinović and Ena Letica) in the company of Croatian Language teacher Ina Babić presented the project Entrepreneurial learning at a Formal Session of the National Youth Parliament and YouthParliament of Slavonski Brod which was held in the Great Hall of Brodsko-Posavka County.


Session, as part of European Week celebration, was organized by Božica Sedlić, president of the European Home in Slavonski Brod. Beside representatives of the County, City of Slavonski Brod, representatives of  Croatian Youth Parliaments, representatives of Youth Parliaments from Bulgaria and Turkey, the session was attended by Paolo Berizzi, Counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to Croatia and Head of Political, Economic, Trade, Press and Information.

During the preparation of presentation and participation at the session students achieved following learning outcomes:

KNOWLEDGE: define and explain the difference between being an entrepreneur and an acting entrepreneurially; list the phases of entrepreneurial activity in a classroom or school level example, develop an entrepreneurial idea.

SKILLS: demonstrate the ability to Individual and work in teams; demonstrate ability to communicate ideas to others efficiently and demonstrate the ability for creative and innovative thinking; demonstrate planning, delegation and leading skills during the group work; demonstrate ability to use the method brejnstorming develop and decision-making grid, illustrate the ability to solve problems and make decisions together with others, prezent an entrepreneurial idea; appraise own assets and competences.

ATTITUDES: take responsibility for complete tasks, fulfill obligations and meet deadlines; take initiative to network with individuals and groups; demonstrate ability to work independently; demonstrate ability to respect others; demonstrate the ability to accept innovation and change.

Since the language of the session was English and that after the meeting students comunicated with representatives of Youth Parliaments from foreign countries and Paolo Berizzi, beside Sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, students developed other competencies (Communication in foreign languages, Digital competence, Learning to learn, Social and civic competences, Cultural awareness and expression) of the European framework for key competences for Lifelong Learning.
