Cooperation with 'AIESEC' student organization
Autor: Andreja Remar Vidrač, 15. 6. 2016.

During this school year the educational workshops which are part of YEC project (Young Entrepreneurs in Croatia) have been held in our school. YEC is a  project by AIESEC, an international student organization.

The workshops began during the second semester, more precisely on the 22nd of January 2016 and lasted until March 2016.  They were held in English language by young volunteers, senior year students of related areas of study from different countries of the world.

On Friday 22 January 2016 an introductory/0  workshop of the  Young Entrepreneurs in Croatia project was held at our school. The organisers and partners from the AIESEC Croatia organization, together with foreign students who will hold the workshops, visited us in the old computer science classroom. From faraway China and not so faraway Egypt, the students were as follows: Rebecca, Prima and Lotfy.

This first of 12 block-classes was attended by our 8th grade pupils, and the foreign students introduced themselves and received return information from our students through games. Our pupils participated in all activities actively and enthusiastically.

The conclusion was that the first encounter went very well for the pupils who freely communicated in English with young people to whom English is also not the mother tongue. Some barriers were overcome and every one learned something about other cultures.
