VI. osnovna škola Varaždin

The gifted students day - the day of the role replacement was held in the 6th Primary School Varaždin on Friday, the 31st of March 2017. We have a tradition of replacing the roles for a day – students become teachers and teachers go back to being students. 

Students can choose the subject they like and prepare one class they are going to teach. Many students prepared interesting and creative classes in which they used their own presentations, worksheets, examined, gave homework and even gave marks to their classmates. Students liked being teachers but they admitted it was not an easy job, because both preparing for teaching and classroom management are very demanding.

But this day was even more special because all students became gardners and artists for a day, too. All 770 students participated in the colouring of the school square and the planting of new hedge. Teachers eco-coordinators Ms.Petra Kanešić and Mr.Tomislav Rogulja helped with planting. The square was coloured with geometrical shapes in different colours according to the plan prepared by Mr.Ivan Duić, Art teacher. This new open square will be used after the Easter holidays for spending school breaks in the fresh air. Mr.Dario Mijač and his students are making benches and tables for the school square so in the future students will have a place to sit in the school square and it will be possible to use the square as an open-air classroom.
