Erasmus+ EU cooperation for excellence
Students and teacher mobility Elektrotehnička i ekonomska škola
EU agency for mobility has granted a mobility project to Elektrotehnička i ekonomska škola, Nova Gradiška, inside of Erasmus+, Key activity 1(KA1), Dublin/Ireland, project no:2016-1-HR01-KA102-021972. Project name: EU Cooperation for Excellence, professional practice for 30 students and 7 teachers.
Mobility project will be completed in two parts:
TEACHER MOBILITY – 27/11/2016 – 3/12/2016, 4 teachers
STUDENT MOBILITY – 29/1/2017 – 12/2/2017
There will be 30 students working on this project: 20 computer science technicians and 10 commercialists and they’ll be accompanied by 3 teachers.
Project goals:
Encouraging professional development and guidance of students
Promote lifelong learning for all mobility program participants
Improvement of language competences of all participants in mobility program
Establish cooperation with relevant stakeholders in the international labor market
Promotion of interculturality
Participants will share their acquired knowledge and competences trough dissemination with colleagues from the school, the environment in which they work and work, building the foundations for a better and better tomorrow. The development of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values, or competencies, are the reasons why we want to implement this mobility project for students and teachers of the Electrical and Economic School. The project is funded by the Agency for Mobility and EU Programs amounting to 74.155,00 €.
Erasmus+ project „Compass for Progress and Excellence“
In the new Erasmus + project "Compass for Progress and Excellence" (hereinafter: Compass), in which the Technical School of Slavonski Brod has the role of coordinator of the National Consortium, there are selected 48 of the planned 66 students to practice in companies and schools in Austria, Spain and Slovenia. Other students are expecting a selection process in January 2019 for professional practice in Ireland and Finland, while the two-month practice in Germany has already been conducted.
The national consortium of the Compass project, whose implementation lasts 20 months, is made up of the Technical School of Slavonski Brod, Elektrotehnička i ekonomska škola Nova Gradiška and the Technical School of Karlovac. The total project value is 198.179,00 EU.
Vocational schools included in the Compass project have for many years recognized that only through joint collaboration and innovative approach to existing programs can stimulate the necessary changes in vocational education.
With the "Compass" project we want to improve the key competences and skills of our students in relation to their importance for the labor market in terms of professional practice in vocational schools and companies in the EU.
Students will increase their knowledge in the field of pneumatics, sustainable construction, road transport, logistics and forwarding, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics and industrial automation, where they will have the opportunity to develop their innovativeness and skills that will be the basis for continuing education or employment.
In addition to the students, in the "Compass" project, there are 6 members of the staff accompanying students, 6 participants of the teaching and non-teaching staff in mobility in Malta in the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Development programs and 2 teachers as guest lecturers in the field of Electrical engineering and Mechatronics, to be held in Slovenia.
"Innovative Mind to Smart Schools" or abbreviated "Smart Schools" is the name of a 1.66 million euro worth of cross-border project. The project is funded from INTERREG IPA CBC Cross-Border Cooperation Program Croatia - Bosnia and Herzegovina - Montenegro 2014-2020. The project is implemented by: Center for Development and Support CRP Tuzla with partners: Tuzla Canton, Brodsko-posavska County, Green Action Zagreb and Brodsko ekološko društvo Slavonski Brod.
School competition “Change your habits and equip your school”
The regional competition of the "Change your habits and equip your school" was opened. 105 schools are competing, and the competition lasts until March 30, 2018. The contest encompasses around 37,000 students, teachers and school employees. If you still do not know how to save energy in school, open the educational brochure "Keeping and Using Smart Energy - Tips and Recommendations".
Sole mio
As part of the Day of the Open Doors, our school shows all the visitors the results of the project "Sole mio", more famous under the unofficial name "Solar Tree".
The project was fundamentally realized with the donation of funds from OTP bank, supplemented by own resources of the school.
"Solar Tree" has 7 "sheets" (solar panels) with a total nominal power of 245W which are currently powered by USB ports in the school lobby, primarily intended for charging cellular phones. In addition, the tree only produces energy for its nighttime illumination, and an inverter is installed in the system for potential AC power consumers.
With this project we want to encourage our students, teachers and the local community to save energy, ecological access and use of renewable energy in everyday life.
Solar Car
Our school has started a solar car project in school year 2015/2016. Our goal was to participate in the solar car race that took place in Sisak in early June 2016. The race was organized by Sisak Technical School.
In order to realize this project, we set out to work and gave students the task of designing the look of a school solar car. After the pupils submitted their work, one was separated, and this was the drawing by Anita Vidić, a 2nd grade student. Anita's cousin, who gave him a 3D look, is also credited for this design.
The school carmaker team consists of all school students, and the team of 15 is of all classes. The design took place under the watchful eye of teachers, principal and all of the school staff.
