Osnovna škola - Scuola elementare "Dolac" Rijeka

1st meeting

The first meeting was conducted in Germany from 11/11/13 until 15/11/13. There was a visit to the three German schools that are involved in the multilateral School partnership project “SPRING” – Schools PRomoting INtercultural competence through Games. These schools are the elementary school Pilsensee at Seefeld, the Secondary schoolc Altmühltal-Realschule at Beilngries and the elementary School Woffenbach. In this meeting we got to know the partners, got to know the hosting schools and got to know the school system and discuss about the survey.

2nd meeting

The second meeting was very successfully conducted in Rijeka, Croatia from 17/2/14 until 21/2/14. We visited the school Scuola Elementare Dolac in Rijeka where we had a very nice welcome both from the school students and personnel as well as from the Minister of Education in Croatia, Mr. Željko Jovanović. Each partner presented their games for Solidarity and Equality and the logo of the project was selected. Among other things we had a meeting with the depute Mayor and the head of the city department. We have visited Opatija and the Island of Krk.

3rd meeting

The third meeting was conducted in Limasol, Cyprus from 19/5/14 until 23/5/14. We visited Linopetra Gymnasium where we had a nice welcoming both from the teachers and the students of the school. We were quided around the school and work in the project. Among other things we also visited the major house of Ayios Athanasios in Limassol, the Saint Neophytos monastery and the mosaics in Pafos.

4th meeting

The 4th meeting was conducted in Izmir, Turkey, from 20/10/14 until 24/10/14. There was a warm welcome at Çambel school (from all teachers, pupils and a lot of parents) and we had a celebration by the school´s community showing us traditional dances and offering homemade specialties in the sunny schoolyard.

We had also a meeting with the authorities (Mayor of Çambel, Headteacher of the educational unit of Kemalpaşa, Mayor of Kemalpaşa, Governor of the district of Kemalpaşa). We also visited the ancient places of Meryem Ana, Ephesus and Şirince.

5th meeting

The 5th meeting was conducted in Dungannon, Northern Ireland from 12/1/15 until 16/1/15. There was a warm welcome in Belfast and we did a lot of preparation for our meeting. We had a great welcome at St. Patrick´s Primary School Dungannon (Pupils´ concerto of traditional Irish songs, presentation of traditional Irish dancing by pupils) and we visited several classes. Beside these we had some cultural events like visiting Stormont, the impressive government building in Belfast where we had a meeting with Francie Molloy (Member of Parliament in Westminster), who explained to us the political history and characteristics of the political system of Northern Ireland.
We also visited the modern Titanic Center in Belfast, the world famous Bushmill´s Distillery and the Giants Causeway at the Northern coast.

6th meeting

The sixth meeting was conducted in Los Barrios, Spain from 18/04/15 until 22/04/15. We visited IES Carlos Cano where we had a nice welcoming from teachers and students with a special concert. We work there on the project. Among other things we also visited the major house in Los Barrios, Gibraltar, Baelo Cladia. We also visited San Telmo Palace in Seville where the Andalucian goverment is placed.

7th meeting

The seventh meeting was conducted in Rome, Italy from 18/05/15 until 22/05/15. We visited  “Via della Tecnica “ School where we had a nice welcoming from teachers and students with a special celebration program. We work there on the project. Among other things we visited the City Hall of Pomezia, the Lavinium  Museum, and we had a great tour in some Roma’s Churches: San Clemente, Quattro Santi Incoronati, Basilica of San Giovanni and Baptistery. We also visited Ancient Appia Street and we had an Archaeological trip in Rome where we visited Trastevere, Jewish ghetto.
