Our well-being
Autor: Tajana Bundara, 4. 11. 2020.
'Well-being' defined by the Macmillan online dictionary: 'The satisfactory state that someone or something should be in, that involves such things as being happy, healthy, and safe, and having enough money Laughter is taken as a sign of well-being.' In this project we tend to work on mental health of our pupils since, in these hard corona-virus-times, it is a life-vital-element we need to provide our pupils with.
Physical activity improves well-being, so cycling, walking, exercising, sports are some of the activities we tend to explore.
The research points we shall embark on:
- How to be happier?
- Different hobbies and activities
- Influence of sleep, sun, food, music and animals on our well-being
These are all questions and topics we aim to get engaged with.
After this project pupils will be able to:
- define different mental states and what to do about these
- choose certain activities in order to improve their/someone’s well-being
- explain the importance of well-being
- analyse their/someone’s well-being and provide advice what to undertake
- integrate knowledge gained in this project in their life
WORK PROCESS
- International kick-off videoconference where teachers explain to pupils what the project is all about, what topic will be covered, and activities done. Pupils get to know each other and exchange ideas.
- Start exploring the following topic:
- how to be happier
- what is it necessary to do to be happier
- what kind of hobbies are there
- things that make us laugh
- eating healthy
- creating funny situation in order to laugh more
- Pupils create videos, materials, posters, flyers on the first topic and share it on eTwinning platform and evaluate each other’s work during the second videoconference.
- Research on the next questions:
- the perfect sport for me
- the influence of sleep on our well-being
- getting more sun, the importance of the vitamin D
- the influence of music on human body
- the meaning of having a pet
- Pupils create videos, different materials, posters, brochures on these questions, share all online and exchange ideas during the videoconference. Online peer evaluation of their work takes place.
- Creating joint-online booklet containing advice on how to maintain a healthy well-being.
- Virtual exhibition for parents, school staff and project stakeholders.
All these activities ask for the community assistance, so teachers will contact different sports clubs, associations, institutions to get involved in the project work.
EXPECTED RESULTS
Upon the project completion we expect to have the following results:
- Collaboration of schools with the local community
- Materials containing different topics and questions of the project (posters, flyers, ppts, videos, drawings)
- Virtual exhibition of the project
- IT-booklet containing advice on keeping healthy well-being
Zadovoljstvo nam je obavijestiti sve naše drage učenike, djelatnike i roditelje da je naša škola već drugi put za redom koordinator međunarodnog projekta pod pokroviteljstvom programa Erasmus+. Naš prvi projekt "Od starog pisma do novog prijateljstva" uspješno smo priveli kraju i krenuli 1.9.2016. u realizaciju drugog projekta kojega smo nazvali "Mi djeca EU kažemo...".
