ERASMUS DAYS, 22. 10. 2021.

In cooperation with the educational institutions of our county, the celebration of Erasmus Day was organized at the Podmurvice Elementary School in Rijeka. School pedagogue Monika Bajt Stepić and Music Culture teacher Žaklina Majetić Mufić presented two Erasmus projects in which our school is involved: Music to all and Mindfulness skills and play to the mental health of students. The meeting was covered by numerous media outlets, and the links are within the news we posted on our school’s website.

In October 2021, our 7th grade students Gaby, Lucia and Dajana, accompanied by teacher Nataša Lakotić, went on a mobility to Lithuania / Lithuania as part of the Erasmus + project Music to all. The partners in this project are schools from Turkey, Spain, Romania, Poland, Lithuania and us.

Impatiently and with great expectations, the girls embarked on a musical adventure. The hosts made a real effort to make the guests comfortable and to plan their time every second.

Many workshops, musical activities of rhythms, singing, body music, dancing, listening, meeting composers, musicians… were prepared for all participants.

Our task was to present one national song, and we chose My Homeland, a song that marked many generations and which is sung today as the second Croatian anthem. The girls presented in English and delighted the audience.

The hosts prepared excursions in which they brought closer the beauties of their homeland.

The students hung out every day and spent their evenings dancing and singing.

That wonderful friendships had been made was clear from day one. The day of departure and farewell was very difficult for everyone.

After the mobility in Lithuania, Croatian students were given the task to perform a bodypercussion on two classical compositions: Can can and Turkish march. We had a great time practicing the movements

Turkish day in our school, 3.3.2021.

Due to the pandemic, we could not organize a Turkish day at school for all students, but we tasted Turkish desserts, hazelnuts and drank Turkish tea in the school library. 8th graders tasted Turkish delight, hazelnuts from Unye and drank Turkish tea. Students were introduced to Turkish customs, culture, food, lifestyle, cultural diversity and beauty from the stories of teacher Žaklina who was on Erasmus + mobility in Turkey in March 2020.

The second mobility in the Erasmus + project Music to all was Turkey. English language teacher Nataša Kufner Delak, school accountant Željka Novinc and music culture teacher Žaklina Majetić Mufić went on this mobility. The road passed peacefully even though it was the last week before the big border closure due to the corona virus pandemic. Meeting with friends from Spain, Poland, Romania, Lithuania and Turkey was very emotional. We really became friends, not just partners in this project. The hosts introduced us to their beautiful city, school, city representatives, town hall, teachers ... They organized excursions, picnics, lunches, dinners, gatherings with dancing and singing. At school, we worked diligently in a music workshop led by Hulya Haznedaroglu and made instruments from recycled material. It was especially fun to play on these instruments. The week passed too quickly. We are looking forward to the next meeting in Lithuania.

U razdoblju od 24.11. do 30.11. ravnateljica Nataša Možgon Kauzlarić, pedagoginja Monika Bajt Stepić i učiteljica glazbene kulture Žaklina Majetić Mufić boravile su u Španjolskoj u gradu Leganesu u sklopu projekta Erasmus + Music to all.

Naš boravak bio je isplaniran svake minute. Prva večer bila je večer susreta. Međusobno smo se upoznali i već tada smo shvatili da će projekt rezultirati i pravim prijateljstvima jer smo se odmah svi dobro povezali. U projekt su uz nas uključene zemlje: Turska, Litva, Rumunjska, Poljska i Španjolska kao glavni koordinator. 

Svečano otvorenje projekta održalo se u školi domaćina uz mnoštvo uglednih ljudi i medija. Domaćini su se izrazito trudili približiti nam njihovu kulturu, gastronomiju i upoznati nas s povijesnim ljepotama gradova u blizini Leganesa. Tako smo posjetili Madrid, Segoviju i Toledo. U Madridu smo pogledali operu u poznatoj kazlišnoj kući Zarzuela. 

Svakog dana prijepodne boravili smo u školi na radionicama i radnim sastancima. Radionice su bile posvećene glazbi i uključivanjem djece u glazbene aktivnosti. 

Sve zemlja pripremile su izlaganje i prezentacije o svojoj školi, mjestu i državi. 

Sljedeća mobilnost planirana je u trećem mjesecu kada je domaćin Turska.
