February 19th was a very special day for Nikola Tesla Primary school and whole Moravice. It was a day when Stories and Legends of Moravice come to life.
Stories and Legends of Moravice is a bilingual book about the legends of the village told by late Marica Kosanoviæ. She told the stories to her grandson Aljoša Pošmuga who kindly shared them with us. Natalija Dokmanoviæ, Refik Husiæ and Milica Miloševiæ did the translation of the legends which required a lot of effort, time and enthusiams as well. The cover photos are the work of Natalija Dokmanoviæ and they present the natural beauty of Moravice.
During the book promotion Suzana Pošmuga, late Marica's granddaughter gave a touching speech about her beloved grandma which made some of us cry, Natalija, Refik and Milica presented some of the legends from the book while Maja Miloševiæ and Vedrana Vuèkoviæ were in charge for offering the book to the visitors at the price of 20 kunas. They were wearing a tradicional costume to fit the occasion. After all, the whole event was about the cultural heritage of Moravice.
Thank you to all those who came and supported this cultural project!
Thank you to all the parents who supported us by coming and buying the book!
Thank you to all the pupils - currents ones as well as the former ones!
Thank you to our neighbouring Railway Technical School for their constant support and help!
Thank you to Primorje - Gorski kotar County for providing the financial help and making this dream become reality!
Thank you to all those who consider Moravice their home as well as all those who love Moravice regardless of where they live!
On 7 October we visited one of Crotian national parks which is also the oldest one. We had a lot of fun on the way there...as well as on the way home...At first the weather was cloudy but it wasn't raining. However, our luck didn't last...During the second half of our sightseeing the rain started...and we hurried to the bus...Some of us got wet more than others.
Despite the weather we had the best time ever!
P.S. It was also our teacher's birthday and our present to her was a folk song wishing her to live until she's 105 and then all over again!
